NFL Draft Sleepers

Posted: February 10, 2013 in 2013 NFL Draft, NFL Combine, Views and opinions

I will be releasing a longer version of my sleepers list on NFLdraftdog.com, but I had to talk about two guys real quick.

Brad Sorensen of Southern Utah

Quarterback Brad Sorensen of Southern Utah and running back Miguel Maysonet of Stony Brook are the proverbial “diamonds in the rough.” Both are small school guys who produced at a high level, albeit against borderline competition in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Sorensen is a tall, rangy gunslinger with the arm to make all the throws in the book. He needs polish, but he has a firm late round grade in my opinion and rising fast. It wouldn’t surprise me if be creeped into the top 5 rounds.

Maysonet is a playmaker. He can lower his pads and he can run with speed and grace. He isn’t the biggest back, but he has a very thick base and can withstand punishment. Note it for him that he had an excellent game against Syracuse, a much better opponent.
